The Need
All time management studies point to ineffective meetings as a major time waster. The cause: Meetings conducted without clear objectives, agendas, controls, specific action plans, or accountable follow-up.

Objectives
 • To maximize productivity at meetings with emphasis on preparing for meetings,
   conducting them effectively and following up
 • To conduct different types of simulated meetings, using job-related scenarios

Program Content
 • Determining when a meeting is necessary
 • How to prepare for a meeting: Setting objectives, preparing concise agendas,
    and creating the pre-meeting notification.
 • A step-by-step model for conducting effective meetings
 • Opening the meeting: Stimulating immediate audience interest and participation
 • Sticking to the point: Avoiding digressions, maintaining control
 • Typical meeting distractions and how to eliminate them
 • Specific meeting processes, such as brainstorming, fact finding, decision making,
   and information presentation.
